For the dynamic testing of the locking characteristics of fasteners under loading conditions and in particular for testing to DIN standard. 65151. Technical Details & Schematics
Fastener loosening has been the subject of much study and testing. Many types of vibration test machines have been used in an effort to determine the effectivness of bolted joints or types of fasteners, but most such units have failed have failed to provide meaningful information for actual applications.
For the dynamic testing of the locking characteristics of fasteners under loading Using knowledge gained from comprehensive studies of vibration and its effects on fastener selfloosening, SPS designed and built a compact vibration test unit that simulates actual operating conditions in dynamically loaded joints.
The mini vibration tester is fitted with a preload sensor so that the preload can be continuously monitored during the test.
Test results can be displayed on a chart recorder or collected via a computer with A to D card. Specialised software is also available to collect, process and display this data. P&T Precision Engineering Limited can supply any of these alternatives to the customers requirement.
